The volunteer leaders guiding Concrete BC
Our Board of Directors brings together senior leaders from across British Columbia’s ready-mix, volumetric, and supplier membership — volunteers who shape the association’s direction and approve the work reflected throughout this page.
Five priorities. One industry.
Unanimously approved by the Board in April 2025, our Strategic Plan focuses the association’s work across five areas that together define Concrete BC’s role in the province.
Advocacy
- Execute a strategic approach to lobbying that benefits both members and customers
- Position concrete as the first choice for local, sustainable, and resilient building
- Maintain relationships with elected representatives, officials, and political staff
Sustainability
- Position concrete as a viable, resilient solution to address climate change
- Collaborate with industry partners to implement the Concrete Zero Action Plan
- Encourage members to demonstrate their commitment to sustainability
Education & Workforce
- Support career development by refining and promoting online course offerings
- Make training the number one non-dues revenue generator for the Association
- Enable recruitment and retention efforts to ensure a vibrant workforce
Safety
- Share near misses to learn from incidents and prevent them across the industry
- Hold forums on common safety issues and promote toolbox-talk resources
- Liaise directly with WorkSafeBC and encourage safer working environments
Technical
- Lobby government on codes, standards, and specifications beneficial to the industry
- Advance Concrete BC Plant and Volumetric Certifications to uphold the highest standards
- Be recognized as the certifying authority on technical issues in the industry
